Abstract:
History FI.MO.TEC. S.p.A. moved its first steps in 1933. At the time Hans Feige, the founder of the Company, introduced the first lead plug in Italy. It was a very small company, but already an innovative one. In the 80s the extensive experience acquired in the fixing market was transferred to the first custom products for the mobile telecom network. In the 90s, with the boom of the mobile business, the product range saw a quick expansion and by 1997 the international revenues exceeded the domestic ones. In 2000 FIMO Deutschland GmbH, our first foreign subsidiary, was established. FIMO Deutschland acts as a sales and distribution center for Germany. From a very humble start FIMO Deutschland has earned its reputation as FIMO® competence centre for German speaking customers. They rely on FIMO Deutschland’s extensive warehouse facilities near Munich to ensure just in time deliveries and the technical expertise in providing a practical solution for any installation problem. In 2004, to expand and consolidate our foothold in Europe, we acquired EMC Systèmes SAS, a well respected company on the France market. In 2009 it was renamed FIMO France. FIMO France is a sales, distribution and – partially – manufacturing subsidiary, covering all the French speaking countries as well as Northern Africa. In 2008, to assist our customers in the fast growing Asian market, we founded FIMO India Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary has full production capabilities and acts as sales and distribution center for the whole APAC market.
